Printed Workwear for Small Businesses in Newton Abbot, Totnes and Teignmouth.

Ordering printed workwear can be surprisingly difficult when you only need three or four garments. Many suppliers are geared towards larger orders, leaving small teams ordering more clothing than they actually need.

Our minimum order is just three garments. We print polo shirts, t-shirts and hoodies in-house at our Newton Abbot workshop using heat transfer vinyl.

Printed workwear prices

There is no VAT to add. Each price includes the garment, a small chest print and a larger back print.

The minimum order is three garments, but you can mix t-shirts, polo shirts and hoodies within your order.

These prices are based on straightforward, print-ready artwork. Designs with additional colours or more complicated preparation will be quoted individually.

Heat transfer vinyl is an excellent option for:

Vinyl works particularly well with solid colours, clean shapes and readable lettering, which covers most small business logos.

When vinyl is the wrong choice

We would rather explain the limitations before taking your money than supply something that will disappoint you.

Large-volume orders

Every vinyl design is cut, prepared and pressed individually. This means the price per garment does not fall considerably when the quantity increases.

Screen printing involves an initial set-up cost but becomes more economical as quantities rise. If your order is large enough for another printing method to make better sense, we will tell you.

Very small lettering

Very small text can be difficult to cut and weed cleanly. It also creates tiny individual pieces that are less suitable for hard-wearing workwear. We may recommend enlarging or simplifying the design.

Fine or intricate details

Very thin lines and complicated shapes do not always survive the cutting and weeding process successfully. Small changes to the artwork can often make the design suitable for printing.

Logos with several colours

Each vinyl colour must be cut, prepared and pressed separately. One or two colours normally work well, while designs containing four or five colours can become expensive and make the finished print feel unnecessarily heavy.

Photographic images

Heat transfer vinyl is intended for solid-colour lettering, logos and graphics. It is not suitable for reproducing photographs.

If you are unsure whether your logo will work, send it to us. We will examine it and give you an honest answer before quoting.

Your artwork

The most common hold-up with a printed workwear order is unsuitable artwork.

A vector file works best. These files are normally supplied in AI, EPS, PDF or SVG format. If your logo was professionally designed, the original designer may already have the correct file.

If you only have a JPEG or PNG taken from your website, van graphics or business card, send it to us. We will check whether it is good enough to reproduce at the required size.

Some logos need to be redrawn before they can be cut from vinyl. Logo redrawing is chargeable, but we will explain what is needed and agree the cost with you before doing any artwork.

How your workwear is printed

Cutting

Your design is cut from a roll of coloured vinyl using a computer-controlled plotter. The blade cuts through the vinyl while leaving the backing sheet intact.

Weeding

The unwanted vinyl is carefully removed by hand, leaving only the lettering or logo on the backing sheet. This is why highly detailed artwork can take longer to prepare.

Pressing

The prepared design is positioned on the garment and bonded to the fabric using controlled heat and pressure.

The result is a clean, sharp print with strong, solid colour.
